  • SCA claims 350,000 lives in the U.S. per year – over 950 each day – 1 life every 1.5 minutes
  • SCA is extremely deadly, with a mortality rate of approximately 95%
  • Two-thirds of SCA deaths occur in people having no prior indications of heart disease


While searches for effective AIDS and Cancer treatments continue, an effective treatment for SCA has been available for decades: the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
